Columns
Statement of method: engagements are read down the gutter — studio work on the left, your written artefact on the right. No package names, no tiered commercial menus. Each column is a shape of collaboration we recognise from ten years of Tyrwhitt Road briefings.
Column I — Diagnostic read
We collect your last twelve months of outward copy: website, product pages, two investor or board decks if available, sales one-pager, and a sample of social posts. Each piece is quoted against the question of single-company coherence. We mark contradictions in the margin and note where terminology drifted without anyone deciding to change it.
The read takes two weeks. One session on Tyrwhitt Road or by video to walk through findings — no slide animation, a printed drift report you keep.
Your folio
Drift report (PDF, typically eight to twelve pages): quoted passages, flagged conflicts, severity notes, and a recommended sequence of correction. Includes a one-page executive summary suitable for forwarding to your board or agency lead.
Column II — Positioning engagement
Built on the diagnostic or an equivalent internal audit you supply. Two working sessions with founder and marketing lead present — decisions captured on ruled sheets, photographed and transcribed same day. We test category language against Singapore and APAC comprehension, not Silicon Valley defaults.
External research is limited to public category language; we do not commission proprietary surveys or promise market sizing.
Your folio
Signed positioning framework, message hierarchy table, “do not say” list, and agency brief (one page) for partners you already employ. Editable source files included.
Column III — Narrative and voice build
Follows a completed positioning engagement or aligns with a framework you certify as current. We draft narrative chapters and voice examples in parallel so story and register stay matched. Your team reviews in hard copy; we revise in tracked documents until the master reads cleanly aloud.
Your folio
Brand narrative document, voice manual with stress-test paragraphs, glossary, and channel mapping table linking passages to web, deck, press and onboarding.
Column IV — Documentation programme
For companies ready to consolidate visual and verbal rules into one brand-system folio. We audit existing assets, retire conflicting versions, and write usage rules a regional subsidiary can follow without calling Singapore weekly. Photography direction is described in words and reference images, not shot by us.
Your folio
Brand-system documentation (PDF and source where applicable), custodian checklist naming your internal owner, amendment log template, and handover session recorded in writing.
Column V — Standing advisory
Quarterly half-day on Tyrwhitt Road or by video: review new materials against the master folio, approve or flag drift, update the change log. We do not become your outsourced marketing department — we guard the document set and advise when a new claim requires hierarchy revision.
Your folio
Quarterly advisory memo, updated amendment log entries, and annotated copies of any materials reviewed. Scope and cadence agreed in writing at engagement start.
Columns may run sequentially or overlap where dependencies allow. We scope in writing before work begins; nothing listed here implies a pre-set commercial menu — engagement terms are confirmed per column after a short briefing. See Doorplate to begin.
Choosing a column
Most briefings begin with Column I when drift is suspected but not yet mapped. Column II follows when leadership agrees the position itself needs revision, not merely the sentences expressing it. Columns III and IV suit teams preparing a launch or a rebrand handover to agencies. Column V is for organisations that already hold a master folio and want a quarterly guard against quiet drift. We will tell you if your situation needs fewer columns than you imagined — narrowing scope is a sign of clarity, not reluctance.
Each column ends with a written folio you keep — not a presentation deck that expires when the projector switches off. If your procurement process requires a scope document before internal sign-off, we produce one after the initial briefing on Doorplate. Overlapping columns share a single amendment log so dependent documents stay aligned when positioning shifts mid-programme.
The gutter divides labour from artefact. Both sides must balance.
